5 weeks - Starts March 2nd - Early Bird Launch pricing 149€ (excl VAT) until Jan 15th- (full price 199€ excl VAT)
The world we live in has become increasingly complex. The challenges we face demand us to think and build differently. By analyzing complexity and the systems that power it, our goal is to help you build impact businesses tackling societal and environmental challenges through a design framework centered on inclusivity.
In a 5-step process, we will guide you from initial practical and theoretical research, problem discovery, and ideation to your first prototype and testing of your solution. In the process, you will research and understand your problem space in-depth, map the existing solutions, and empathise with all those who will be impacted by your business. We will make you question the impact of your idea at every step in the process and provide you with tools and techniques to keep inclusivity core to your impact.
By asking hard questions during this first step of business building, we will build inclusion into the heart of your design processes. The design of your products and services can also change real-life behaviour, which is why inclusion deserves to be at the center of design, embracing it in all its complexity.

Project Designer iDROPS &
Social Entrepreneur Carpet of Life
Impact Shakers co-developed this programme with iDROPS.
Since its foundation in 2010 iDROPS has built a strong reputation in social innovation. They are the compass for change. They work with individuals and vulnerable groups as well as with organisations and governments. Together with all these actors they tackle social
issues and translate them into sustainable, positive solutions and at best also into policy.
They want to make society better. They do this by turning existing ways of thinking and doing upside down. They awaken and question. Then they help create new systems and dynamics. Always departing from that same dream: lasting well-being.
Hendrikje is a project designer at iDROPS and team lead on ‘Diversity and Inclusion’. She co-creates and coordinates innovation trajectories on the topic of cultural diversity and inclusion. She is driven by social design and cultures.
She also has entrepreneurial background as she led the social business ‘Carpet of life’.
Carpet of Life is founded with the mission to generate income for artisan women living in the scarcity of the Sahara. This is done by making unique carpets that are crafted in a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation in the Sahara.
